My passion for injury rehabilitation was shaped by a lifelong commitment to sport—and the reality of experiencing injuries firsthand. As a multi-sport athlete competing in baseball, football, golf, tennis, and rugby, I developed a deep appreciation for the physical, mental, and emotional demands of high-level performance.
I earned my degree in Kinesiology from Acadia University before completing my Doctorate of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College. During my training, I completed honours internships with the Buffalo Bills medical staff and the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Buffalo, and later worked with varsity athletes at the Carleton University Sports Medicine Clinic, gaining valuable experience in a multidisciplinary performance environment.
In 2016, I founded FORTIS with a clear mission: to bridge evidence-based rehabilitation with elite performance principles. The practice is built around six core pillars—Function, Optimization, Recovery, Training, Innovation, and Synergy—integrating chiropractic care, strength and conditioning, nervous system optimization, pain science, nutrition, metabolic health, sleep analysis, and epigenetic programming.
My clinical focus is on correcting dysfunctional neuromuscular patterns and optimizing nervous system performance—an essential foundation for complete and resilient rehabilitation.
This performance-driven approach has led to opportunities to consult with athletes from the NHL, NFL, CFL, NCAA, U SPORTS, and Team Canada.
I remain committed to staying at the forefront of sports medicine and human performance, holding advanced certifications in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (Prague School of Rehabilitation), Functional Needling & Acupuncture, Active Release Techniques (ART), and Athletic Movement Assessment; most recently I’ve begun my functional medicine certification(CFMP) . I currently serve on the Sports Advisory Board for Designs for Sport and continue to pursue advanced training to further integrate evidence-based care with emerging performance science.
